Hamas Reportedly Producing Rockets Using Smuggled Chemicals

According to sources cited by Kan News, Hamas has succeeded in manufacturing rockets inside the Gaza Strip by smuggling in chemical materials from outside the territory.

The organization is said to be producing the weapons in multiple decentralized workshops located in areas such as Dier al-Balah and Gaza City. These locally made rockets have, in part, been transferred to allied militant groups, including Palestinian Islamic Jihad, according to the report.

Earlier coverage suggested that Hamas had altered its smuggling strategies, possibly using containers that move beneath the sea and relying on natural currents to bring materials into Gaza in cooperation with Sinai-based cells.
