Merchant Ship Struck off UAE Coast; Fire Extinguished

A commercial vessel was struck by an unknown projectile approximately 17 nautical miles northwest of Mina Saqr, UAE.

The impact sparked a fire on board, but the crew managed to quickly extinguish the blaze.

According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), the ship remains operational and intends to continue its voyage.
