At least 27 passengers were injured tonight when a bus overturned on Highway 6 in southern Israel. The accident occurred near the city of Kiryat Gat, causing a significant emergency response as first responders rushed to the scene to assist those trapped or injured in the wreckage.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics arrived quickly to assess the situation and provide medical treatment. According to a statement from MDA, all of the injured passengers remained conscious following the crash. While the scene was chaotic, officials confirmed that none of the victims required further medical evacuation to local hospitals at that time, as their injuries were treated on-site.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by local authorities. Highway 6, a major north-south artery in Israel, saw temporary traffic disruptions near the Kiryat Gat interchange as emergency crews worked to secure the area and right the overturned vehicle. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the incident.
