Israir to start repatriation flights from 6 European destinations to Egypt’s Taba

Israeli carrier Israir announces that starting tomorrow it plans to operate special flights from six destinations in Europe to Taba International airport in Egypt to help stranded customers return home via land border crossings following the closure of Israel’s airspace amid US-Israel attacks on Iran.

Taba is next to Eilat in southern Israel.

Initially, Israir will operate flights from Prague, Budapest, Sofia, Rovaniemi, Bergamo, and Grenoble at no additional cost for customers whose flights were canceled.

The flights will be chartered by planes of Croatia’s Trade Air and Romania’s HelloJets, upon approvals from authorities.

Flights will be opened to the general public for sale only after the completion of the placement of Israir ticket holders and their return home to Israel, the airline says.

In the coming days, Israir will continue to update passengers regarding additional flight operations.
