Meta Names Dina Powell McCormick as President to Drive AI Infrastructure Push

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has appointed Dina Powell McCormick as the company’s new President and Vice Chairman, placing a seasoned Wall Street banker and former Trump administration adviser at the helm of its expanding artificial intelligence infrastructure strategy. 
Powell McCormick, who spent 16 years in senior leadership at Goldman Sachs and served in national security and diplomatic roles under Presidents Donald Trump and George W. Bush, will guide Meta’s overall strategy as the company scales multi-billion-dollar investments in AI data centers, energy systems, and global connectivity. 

Zuckerberg said her “experience at the highest levels of global finance” and global relationships make her uniquely suited to help Meta manage its next phase of growth. In her expanded role, Powell McCormick will also focus on strategic capital partnerships and collaborations with governments and sovereign entities around the world.
