New York Police Department ups patrols at ‘sensitive locations’ amid Iran strikes

“Out of an abundance of caution, we will be enhancing patrols to sensitive locations throughout the city, including diplomatic, cultural, religious and other relevant sites,” NYPD says in a post to social media.

The force says it “is closely monitoring events in Iran and the Middle East” and coordinating with federal and international partners.

It asks the public to remain vigilant and notify police of any suspicious activity.
