U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled to visit Israel on Monday and Tuesday to meet with Israeli leaders about regional security, including Iran’s nuclear program.
However, Axios reports that some U.S. and Israeli officials say Rubio might cancel the trip if President Trump orders a military strike on Iran.
Rubio is expected to discuss Iran, Lebanon, and efforts to implement President Trump’s 20‑Point Peace Plan for Gaza.
He is expected to depart from long-standing U.S. practice by not taking journalists with him on the trip.
